Is ECU Remapping Safe and Reversible?

It’s the question we’re asked most: is remapping safe? Done properly, yes — and it’s completely reversible. Here’s how we make sure of that.

Custom maps, within safe limits

The risk with tuning comes from generic, off-the-shelf “driveway” files that take no account of your specific car. We don’t use those. Every map is written for your exact vehicle and developed live on our 4WD linked V-Tech dyno, so we can see real fuelling, boost and temperatures and keep everything within safe operating limits.

Health checks first

Before any tuning we carry out health checks and data logging. If the car isn’t in a fit state to tune, we’ll tell you — we’d rather do the job right than risk your engine.

Always reversible

We save your original factory file before we touch anything, so your ECU can be returned to stock at any time. Nothing we do is permanent.

Insurance & warranty
