About This Tune

The Audi Q7 4M Gen 3 is one of the most refined and capable large diesel SUVs on the road. Powered by the 3.0 TDI producing 272PS from the factory, it is an already impressive vehicle. With a custom Stage 1 ECU calibration and ZF8 TCU gearbox tune from DC Remapping, it becomes substantially more capable.

We consistently achieve 329bhp and 682Nm on the dyno. The torque increase in particular transforms the Q7 in real-world driving. Pulling out on dual carriageways, overtaking on the motorway loaded with passengers and luggage, towing — all dramatically improved. The power delivery is smooth and progressive throughout.

The ECU and TCU calibrations are developed together to work as a cohesive package. The ZF8 gearbox responds immediately to throttle inputs, holds gears when appropriate and the overall driving experience is transformed from a comfortable daily driver into something noticeably more purposeful.

ZF8
TCU Calibration.

The ZF 8-speed torque converter automatic fitted to the Q7 4M is one of the finest gearboxes in the industry. Incredibly strong and smooth, it handles the Q7's considerable weight and torque with ease. From the factory however, it is calibrated conservatively.

Our TCU calibration unlocks the full capability of the ZF8 in the Q7. Shifts become noticeably sharper in Sport mode, the gearbox responds more immediately to throttle inputs and torque limits are raised to correctly handle the increased output from the Stage 1 ECU tune.

The result is a Q7 that feels cohesive and purposeful to drive, rather than a large SUV trying to be gentle with itself. Fully reversible at any time.
